Duane A. Storm passed unexpectedly from a massive heart attack on March 18, 2022 in the comfort of his wife's arms. Duane was born in Watseka, Illinois, being a graduate of Hoopeston High School in the class of 1971. Duane served in the Air Force following high school, then attended Lincoln Technical Institute becoming certified as a diesel mechanic. Duane spent most of his adult life in Gainesville, Florida. He married the love of life, Laura (Davis) in 1989. Duane's proudest moment was becoming a dad. He was most proud of his daughter Valen Marie, and truly loved being her father.
Duane enjoyed life and had many passions and hobbies. Target shooting and reloading were his favorite hobbies, enjoying the craft and science of this sport. Riding his much-loved Harley Road King was a close second. He loved riding the open roads, as he found the wind and fresh air revitalizing. Duane became a Christian in July of 2000. He would share God’s love through giving of his time and energy, helping anyone. Turning Point Baptist Church will be donating twenty Gideon Bibles in his honor.
