Dewey was a member of Post16, Gainesville, FL. American Legion. We the members, were always honored at his visits. For those of us who may have experienced seeing what combat can do, can only sit back and marvel at the actions he took to save his fellow soldiers. Many former soldiers talk a good game, Dewey practiced it and managed to live through it all, retain a great attitude, and be a real HERO for all of us.

My service dog and I had the pleasure of meetings him more than once .He was very kind and allowed us to get photos.He will be remembered and missed.
