Drew L. Roberts' Obituary
Drew L. Roberts, age 66 of Gainesville passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013. He was born January 29, 1947 in Dearborn, MI to William and Jean Graham Roberts. Drew, a graduate of Michigan State and Wayne State universities, was a software engineer designing real time controls for manufacturing and life support systems for the space station.
Drew was a man of many compelling interests. As a youth he enjoyed riding and barrel racing horses. He built and raced cars. Drew was a pilot and enjoyed building planes and sailing boats. He also showed and bred schipperke and papillon dogs winning many ribbons.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Huntsman Roberts; sisters Jan Albert of Stamford, CT and Gayle Sell of Dearborn, MI; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A life celebration will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, with loving family officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ALS Association Development Department, 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.
