Douglas James Walsh's Obituary
Douglas James Walsh, age 29 of Hawthorne, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. He was born April 7, 1986 in Gainesville, Florida. Douglas grew up in Hawthorne and worked as a machinist at Bear Archery. He enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars and playing drums. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially fishing with his son. He was a great person, his smile was contagious. He would do anything for anyone.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Ciara Swan Walsh and six year old son, Ayden James Walsh; father, Christopher Walsh of Gainesville, FL; mother, Pam Morrison of Gainesville, FL; brother, Sean Walsh; sister, Melissa Walsh and grandmother, Thelma Morrison.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME HAWTHORNE, US 301 South at Lake Avenue, with Pastor Tracy Cantley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. A gathering will follow the service at Marjorie K. Rawlings Historic State Park, 18700 South CR 325, Cross Creek. Friends can bring a covered dish.
