Douglas Lane Keene, Sr.
Douglas Lane Keene, Sr., 53, lifelong resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, in the Shands Hospital, following a long illness.
Mr. Keene was born on January 30, 1962 in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated from Eastside High School, and worked most of his life as a tow truck driver, lastly for University Tow Center. He loved drag racing, and he built and drove his own drag car. He was preceded in death by his father, William Curtis Keene.
He is survived by his mother, Frances (Clarence) Grantham; son, Douglas Lane Keene, Jr.; daughter, Lenora Keene; fiance’, Jamie Craig, all of Gainesville; brother, Bobby Henry Hayes Keene, of High Springs.
