Dorothy Clark Weaver's Obituary
Dorothy Clark Weaver, 95, of Alachua, Florida went to her eternal home on January 23, 2014. She was born in Enterprise, Alabama on April 18, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Weaver Sr., and son, Mike Weaver Jr., parents Albert and Cora Clark, sister Edna Sessions, brother John Clark and niece Elizabeth Sessions Beasley.
She and Mike lived for many years on Lake Texoma and in Denison, Texas. Her many friends will remember her love for fishing and playing bridge. She moved to Gainesville, Florida in 2011 to be near her niece, Peggy Ann Mauldin (Dan). She was living with Dan and Peggy in Alachua, Florida when the Lord called her home.
In addition to Dan and Peggy, she is survived by niece Jane Wingate (Charles) of Atlanta, Georgia; nephew Johnny Clark of Dahlonega, Georgia; Dan Mauldin, Jr. (Mary), Michael Mauldin (Amy), Kenneth Williams, Merri Huggins (Kelly) and several great nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a long time member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison. Interment will take place in Denison alongside her husband Mike. Services have not been scheduled at this time.
