Dorothy Sue (McCormick) Trenkamp's Obituary
Dorothy Sue (McCormick) Trenkamp, age 77 of Gainesville, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home. Dorothy was born October 5, 1939 in Stewartsville, Kentucky.
Dorothy was married to her husband, Ferdinand Joseph Trenkamp, Jr. for 59 ½ years. They had seven children: Katrina (Trenkamp) Payne, Dwayne Trenkamp, Randall Trenkamp, Robert Trenkamp (deceased), Scott Trenkamp, Timothy Trenkamp and Dina (Trenkamp) Quinn. She has 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Sister, Katherine (McCormick) Belew and her husband Eugene and her brother, Darrel McCormick and his wife Barbara also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Francis (Wainscott) McCormick; father, Willie McCormick; sister, Nellie (McCormick) Welsh and brothers, Billy and Mike McCormick. Her son, Robert Trenkamp also preceded her.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, June 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street, with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant.
