Dorothy Lee James Hayes' Obituary
Dorothy Lee James Hayes was born February 27, 1933 to Norman and Gertrude James in Otter Creek, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Hayes, Sr., daughter, Janie Williams Highland, son, Booker T. Hayes, brother, Willie James Hopkins and her stepdaughters, Marie Hayes and Betty Jo Walker.
She is survived by sons, Carl, Jr., Carlton Eddie, Norman Napoleon, George Lee, Boris Noland and Brian Craig Hayes, and stepson, David Johnson. Her daughters, Carolyn Blake Oppenhien, Valine Hill Taylor, Mattie Williams Jackson and Ruby Tidwell.
Ms. Dot was also blessed with many gifted grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She transitioned on November 19, 2023 and to her enormous extended family, her light burns bright in our hearts and memories.
A memorial service will be held at Church of God by Faith, 735 SE 15th Street on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
