Dorothy Louise Granger's Obituary
Dorothy Louise Granger, age 81 of Gainesville passed away Friday, February 26, 2016. She was born December 2, 1934 to Douglas Darrell and Bernice Blanche Penrod Smith.
Dottie grew up in Amarillo, Texas. After high school she met her husband, who was in the air force and they traveled the world living in many places including Morocco and Okinawa. She moved to Gainesville in 2002 to be close to her family. She enjoyed sewing, music and scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Granger and grandson, Jamie Adair.
She is survived by her children, Randall Roffe of Ukraine, Mark Roffe of Deland, Rebecca Adair (George) of Longwood and Melissa Diblin (Mark) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Emma Winter, Nicholas Adair, Josh Diblin, Dorie Diblin, Abby Diblin and Molly Diblin.
The family would like to express thanks for the loving care she received at Harborchase from their staff and from Haven Hospice.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd St. with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL 32606.
