Dorothy Virginia Dowless' Obituary
Dorothy Virginia Dowless, 87, passed away on August 22, 2014 at her home in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on December 13, 1926 in Otter Creek, Florida to Faroue and Addie Mae Anderson.
Dorothy was a homemaker and loved the outdoors and her happiest times were spent in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Troy Dowless.
She is survived by her daughters, Gracie Howard, Charleston, New Hampshire, and Sherrill Bass, Gainesville, and sons, Daniel (Bennie), Gainesville, and Daryl (Lara), Gainesville, and a sister, Sandra Jenkins, Melbourne, Florida, and brother, Arthur Anderson, California. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:00 A. M., in Evergreen Cemetery, Gainesville, with Rev. Chris Richardson, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A. M., at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street.
