Dorothy "Dot" Ann Evans' Obituary
Ms. Dorothy Ann Evans "Dot" Age 78 of High Springs, Florida was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 18, 2021.
Born June 3, 1943 to her parents Roy and Inez Pearson in Gainesville, FL.
Dot was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She married April 4 1970 to John B. Evans “Jake” widowed 26 October 1995, in Love for Eternity.
Preceded in death by her husband John “Jake” Evans, sister, Betty Tucker, mother, Inez Helton, and father, Roy Pearson.
Dot worked at the University of Florida for 35 Years in various positions under the bureau of business department. After retiring from the UF she served her local community as part of the Alachua Chamber of Commerce until the COVID pandemic forced her into full retirement in 2020.
She devoted her life to the service of her family, friends, and community. Constantly giving back more than she ever received.
Hobbies were Playing Billiards and watching her grandkids and great grandkids grow into adulthood while attending as many of their sporting events that she possibly could.
Dot leaves behind her daughter, Mary Jane Davis; son, John “JD” Evans, (Jeni); grandchildren Allie Johnston, Chloe Evans Lopez, (Shannon), Ashley Evans (Sid Masso); great grandson’s Khi, and Jackson; brother Larry Pearson (Julie) and sister Debbie Fulkerson (Robert) and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
To know Dot was to Love her. She taught us all that Love and Forgiveness can make you a better person and the world a better place.
