Dorothy Elaine Akers' Obituary
Dorothy Elaine Akers, age 75 passed away on January 8, 2023, in Newberry, Florida. She was born on April 27, 1947 in Lakeland, Florida to Charles and Juanita Walling Spivey.
She Loved antiques, yard sales, plants, gardening, and all animals. Dorothy loved to cook, she would always say let’s have a feast, she loved any opportunity to spend time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Teddy Ray Stinton, Charles Andrew and wife Kim, Karen Ferguson and husband Rich; sister: Joyce Squier; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her beloved dogs, Frank and Maggie, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Anne Cagle, and Linda Brady, brothers, Charles and Donald Spivey.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd St. Newberry, Florida with Dr. James Kinnebrew officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery 6259 S.E. 75th Ave. Newberry, Florida.
