Dorothea Joyce Crocker's Obituary
Dorothea Joyce Crocker, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in E.T. York Care Center. Dorothea was born July 15, 1936 in Mecosta County, Michigan to John Westley and Thelma Irene Carr Seaton.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and other crafts and loved music and her dogs. A member of Highlands Missionary Baptist Church, she was a very strong Christian woman and read her bible daily. She had a strong and happy marriage to Larsen Crocker; they were married on Christmas Eve of 2006.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her son, Owen “Jay” Jennings Bryant Jr. in 2015, her sister, Johanna and brothers, Ronald and Floyd Seaton.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Larsen Leroy Crocker; sisters, Viola Allen of Fort Myers, FL and Genevra DeVries of Gainesville; brother, Louis Seaton and two grandchildren, Chris Bryant and Elisha Bryant.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Pastor Rick Hartmann of Highlands Missionary Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
