Doris Anne Widener's Obituary
Doris Anne Widener, age 85 and longtime resident of Campville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1928 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Walter and Vervel Speare Thompson. Doris loved NASCAR, Gator football, the mountains of North Carolina and fishing. She was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton M. Widener, Sr., in 2006.
She is survived by her children, Judith A. (Jim) Hogan of Hawthorne, FL and Milton M. (Nellie) Widener, Jr., of Micanopy, FL; sister, Betty Jo (Victor) Arnette; grandchildren, Stephanie (Skip) Ecklund and Will (Penny) Widener; great grandchildren, Waylan and Hannah Widener and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., in Micanopy Cemetery, with Johnny Arnette officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Hospice of the Nature Coast, 150 North Main Street, High Springs, FL 32643
