Doris M. LaPiana's Obituary
Doris M. LaPiana, 90, of Gainesville, FL and formerly of Hornell, NY, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Frank and Marion Van Keuren of Canisteo, NY and was the beloved wife of Edward LaPiana. Doris is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and John Lisi of Johns Island, SC. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathan and two great grandchildren, Whitney and Harmony, all of whom gave her great joy
A Gathering of friends and family will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street. There will be a private burial beside her husband in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last illness, especially the staff at Haven Hospice, who made her last days comfortable and peaceful. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, ET York Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
