Don McCleskey's Obituary
Don McCleskey was born November 11, 1946 and entered eternal life January 1, 2019. The son of Elmer and Vaunita McCleskey. He married Betty (Trisch) and from that union 4 children were born: Ricky (Kelly) McCleskey, Ronny (Marney) McCleskey, Randy (Wendy) McCleskey and Jennifer (D.J.) Duke. Don worked and retired from General Motors in Michigan. He and his love Betty then moved to Florida where they spent time enjoying an easier life together.
Don leaves to cherish his memory: All his children. Grandchildren; Richard (Carmen)Turner, Micheal (Jennifer) Turner, Vanessa Marks, Healther Darling, Alec (Allision) McCleskey, Ashli VanHorn, Maria Martinez, Ryan (Shawna) McCleskey, Zachary (Kaley) McCleskey, Trisch Bodden, Kieley Duke and Kearsten Duke. Great Grandchildren: Weston Williams, Ephraim McCleskey, Ryder Williams, and Kelly and Richie Turner. He is also survived by a sister, Imogene Johnson and brother, Winfred McCleskey.
Don fought a courageous battle with cancer and loved his family beyond words. He will be deeply missed especially by his lifelong sweetheart Betty. The family asks that you keep her and them in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Jonesville Baptist Church with Rev. Corey Cheramie officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Don’s memory to a local food bank or a charity of your choice.
