Dollie Ann Crockett's Obituary
Dollie Ann Crockett, age 73 of Hawthorne passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 at her home. She was born October 21, 1949 in Collins, GA but grew up in Hawthorne, FL.
Dollie started driving a Semi Truck at the age of 18. She drove for 27 years, after retiring she returned to her hometown of Hawthorne and started working for Acousti Engineering Company of Florida. She was a former president of the Hawthorne Woman's club. She enjoyed riding her Harley, Rodeo’s, her Koi fishpond, deep sea fishing, fresh water fishing at Rodman’s, motorcycle poker runs, Karaoke and dancing.
Dollie is survived by daughter, Michelle Dasher and her husband Bill; brother, Bobby Joe Wilson; 7 grandchildren, Dustin Russell, Tawania Russell Goodman (Chris), Joshua Russell (Carla), Alicia Williams (Alan), Helen Marie Wiggins (James), Natalie Dasher and Jack Dasher and 12 great grandchildren and a close family friend, Joe Hooper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Crockett, daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Russell; sister, Anna Murrow; brothers, Ronnie and Donnie, grandson, Garrett Walker and her parents, Jerry and Margaret Wilson.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 28, 2023 at Williams-Thomas Hawthorne Chapel 22205 SE 69th Ave, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 12:00 noon. The funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Matchett officiating. Burial will follow in Eliam Cemetery, Melrose.
