Dianne Linda Butorac's Obituary
Dianne Linda Butorac, born Dianne O’Donnell, age 72 of Alachua, Florida passed away January 30, 2018 in Haven Hospice in Gainesville.
She was born February 4, 1945 in Glennville, Georgia to Richard and Lois Branson O’Donnell, the third of seven children.
Dianne was a retired real estate agent and worked for Coldwell Banker in Lakeland, Fl. She enjoyed cruising and traveling with her husband Vince, she had visited Ireland, Italy, France, England and had taken many trips to the Georgia mountains that she dearly loved. She was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church, she loved volunteering there, reading, bird watching and was a member of the Turkey Creek Book Club and Ladies Card Club. Dianne’s greatest love was babies and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a vast capacity for love, forgiveness and compassion and embodied these virtues daily.
She is survived by her husband, Vince Butorac; daughter, Pebbles DeLoach Edelman; sisters, Sharon O’Donnell, Damaris McCumber and Cathy O’Donnell; brother, Joe O’Donnell; ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy O’Donnell Outlaw and brother, Larry O’Donnell.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Northwest Baptist Church, 5514 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, with Pastor Trey Meek officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Dianne’s name to Partnership for Strong Families by visiting www.pfsf.org/donations. As Dianne received much joy from children and always wanted to support mothers who could use it most, proceeds will be used to purchase baby baskets for local mothers with infants in at-risk situations.
