Diane Drobnak Fink's Obituary
Diane Drobnak Fink of Gainesville, FL passed away from a second battle with cancer in the early morning on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at her home in Gainesville, FL with her two children by her side.
Diane was born on March 21, 1946, in Scranton, PA to John and Margaret Drobnak. The family moved to Miami, FL during her adolescent years where she graduated from Miami Norland High School in 1964.
Diane and her husband moved to Gainesville, giving birth to two children in 1979 and 1981. Diane worked for the Alachua County school board for 25 years, primarily in the front office at Kanapaha Middle School, retiring in 2018. Co-workers and parents remember her smile, compassion, and dedication to helping students in need and their families.
Diane was a passionate friend to many, a loving mother, gardener, dog owner, Gator fan, and gracious Wine and Cheese party host.
She is preceded in death by her parents and will forever be missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life to honor her will be held by her family and friends.
