Delta Faye Combs Butcher's Obituary
Delta Faye Combs Butcher passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 80 in Gainesville, Florida at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Cana, Virgnia to Fred and Edith Combs.
Delta is survived by her loving children, Todd Butcher and wife, Tina, and Jennifer Dawn Vice, and husband, Dr. Marvin Vice; grandchildren Luke Butcher and wife, Kaitlin, and great-grandsons Griffin and Grant; Cody Jones and wife, Jollibee, and great-grandsons Lane and Dylan, Kellie Miller and husband, Josh, and great-granddaughter Adaline, Madison Swink and husband, Bryson, and great-grandsons Kyler and Valor, Michael Vice, Hope Vice, Faith Vice and Noah Vice. Delta had a large family that she loved very much; brother Laverne Combs, and sisters Savonne Woods, Linda Hawks, Benice Combs and Barbara Combs. Delta was pre-deceased by a brother, J C Combs. Delta had numerous nieces and nephews, and her extended family meant the world to her.
Delta moved to Florida with Jennifer and her family in 2014, where Jennifer took excellent care of her mother daily. Delta was a faithful servant to God and a witness to all who met her, even to the date of her calling to Heaven.
There will be no formal service, but rather a Celebration of Life for Delta on January 27, 2024, at White Elephant Beer Company, 225 Market Street Mount Airy, NC, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Todd and Jennifer request that you wear your favorite cheerful color, as Delta loved bright and happy colors.
Delta loved flowers, but Todd and Jennifer request in lieu of flowers, you make a donation to the American Heart Association in her memory.
