Deena was a faithful member of Redemption Orthodox Presbyterian Church where she loved to worship. During her time in Gainesville, she felt blessed to be a part of the team at Drs. Taylor and Ratliff for 25 years. She followed politics closely and had unwavering views about what she truly believed.
Deena had a tender heart and a great love for people and animals. She never met a stranger and if you were a stray ANYTHING that showed up at her house for a meal you were not a stray for long. She loved to travel and was able to achieve her dream of visiting Italy. She attended numerous First Ladies luncheons in Washington DC with her dear friend, Carolyn, and spoke often about the honor of attending. She also loved to dance and had a beautiful singing voice.
Deena will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday December 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Redemption Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 4820 NW 34th St. Gainesville, with Rev. Joel Fick officiating.
