Debra Ann Hutchins-Broker's Obituary
Debra Ann Hutchins-Broker, age 65 was born January 12, 1959 in Gainesville, Florida. Debra (Debbie) passed away October 7, 2024 in North Carolina and now is with her Lord and Savior. She was raised in Hawthorne, Florida by her parents Chester and Ruby Hutchins. Debbie was a 1977 Graduate of Hawthorne High School. She furthered her education by receiving a teaching degree at Mars Hill College in N.C. where she also made life-long friends. Debbie was a devoted educator, spending her teaching career at Interlachen and Trenton Elementary Schools.
Debbie had a passion for mission and outreach and was always lending a helping hand. A selfless act of kindness filled with love and compassion for everyone no matter their circumstances. Debbie followed a creed of acceptance and understanding for all people. She believed in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with her whole heart. Her life mission was to lead others to have a personal relationship with Him.
Debbie was a devoted daughter, loving sister, niece, aunt and great aunt. She insisted all the little ones called her “Great Aunt Debbie”.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Chester W. Hutchins, Sr and brother, David Hutchins of Hawthorne. Grandparents, William & Pearl Hutchins and Roy & Sally Smith. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Hutchins of Hawthorne, brother, Wilbur (Ellen) Hutchins of Hawthorne, sisters Brenda (Rick) Pfeifer of Orlando, Carla (Chuck) Gibson of Gray, GA and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, Hawthorne, Florida.
