Deborah Jean Swindel's Obituary
Deborah Jean Swindel, age 60 of Oak Hill, Florida passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 with her loving daughter by her side. She was born July 11, 1956 in Los Angeles, California to Carl and Marie Jackson.
Debbie grew up in Miami. She loved music and learned to play the guitar as a young child. When she was 14 she joined her father’s band. After high school she attended cosmetology school in Miami, FL and became a wonderful hair dresser, the best you would ever meet. Later she became co-owner of Swindel’s Masonry along with her husband. She loved to cook and liked being helpful. She was the oldest of three girls and a lot of the time she watched out for her 2 sisters. Her passions were music and her children.
Debbie was a loving wife to Jim Swindel and her children were her world.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Oak Hill, FL; daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Colvard of Lake City, FL; son, Robert “Bobby” Colvard of Merritt Island, FL; sisters, Carla Boeppler and Lori Jackson both of Newberry, FL; nephews, Matthew and Lee Boeppler and niece, Shannon Keen.
A Life Celebration will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University of Florida Shands Cancer Center Fund,
