Deborah Ann Hall's Obituary
Deborah Ann Hall, 71, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida died Sunday, June 5, 2022 in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, following her battle with cancer.
Mrs. Hall was born in Amherst, Ohio on November 4, 1950 to the late Joseph and Agnes Koch.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a longtime executive assistant for the University Of Florida Department Of Entomology and Nematology until her retirement in 2016. Mrs. Hall was a very active member of the Women of the Moose, serving in most chairs, including the Senior Regent. She loved playing bingo; planning and participating in holiday parties; playing the part of the Easter Bunny or Santa’s helper; there was nothing she wouldn’t sign up to volunteer for.
She was preceded in death by two of her children, Tammy Hall and Scott Hall, as well as two brothers, Jack Koch and Lawrence Koch and a sister, Bobbi Julock.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Joseph Hall; three sons, Gary
(Jo Ann) Hall and Kenneth Joseph (Robin) Hall, Jr. and Martin Shaw; three sisters, Bonnie
Koch, Chris Smither, and Katrina Oncale; four grandchildren, Vince Hall, Matthew Prose, Allen
Hall and Joseph Hall; and four great grandchildren, Jaxon Hall, Kyla Brown, Tristan Prose and
Dahlia Prose.
A celebration of life service will be held on June 25, 2022 at the Baughman Center on the University of Florida campus from 6:00PM – 9:00PM.
