David Evan Yates' Obituary
David Evan Yates, age 34 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home. He was born September 3, 1984 in Orlando, Florida to Ray and Lynn Kay Gragg Yates. He attended Lake Howell High School in Winter Park. He was a musician, and was the lead vocalist of his band, Fluid. David loved animals, especially his cats. He was a member of Aloma United Methodist Church.
David is survived by his parents, Ray and Lynn Yates; daughters, Lilian Jean Yates of Dover, DE and Sophia Nicole Lindsey of Longwood, FL; his true love, Brenda Nichols, and sister, Jenna Suzanne Yates of Altoona, FL.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street.
