David Larry Jergens
Mr. David Larry Jergens, 54, of Wellborn, Florida, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following a nearly 12 year long battle with cancer.
Mr. Jergens was born in Burlington, Vermont on June 25, 1968. He came to Florida as a child and made Florida his home from then on. He lived in Umatilla for many years, before settling in Wellborn. Mr. Jergens was a truck driver, and along with his wife, owned and operated D & J Jergens Trucking. He loved to hunt, and to hike and collecting things, including antique muzzleloaders.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jennifer Lee Jergens; his parents, Dale & Pamela Jergens; two daughters, Jessica (Chad) Carter and Cassandra Jergens; four grandchildren, Kaylee Carter and Chad Carter, Jr. and Jayce and Hailee Scott; a brother, James Jergens, one sister, Betty Jo Allen; two half-brothers, Anthony David Sabine and Joseph Andrew Sabine; and one half-sister, Katie Lynn Sabine; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
