David Lynn Johnson's Obituary
David Lynn Johnson passed away January 28, 2025. He was born on October 10, 1943, in Burlington, NC to David Chalmers and Mary Ruth Johnson.
David was a loving husband to Billie Jo (Romines) Johnson, sharing 55 years of marriage. Together they shared many adventures and moves across the United States.
David was a proud Vietnam Veteran having served with the U.S. Army. David’s fondest memories include time with family, golfing, and staying “modern” with his laptop. He was an avid bird watcher – a hobby he adopted due to his limited mobility.
David is survived by his wife Billie Jo Johnson; daughters, Heather Smith (Lee) and Lisa Marie Johnson; grandchildren, Megan Turnage (Greg) and Benjamin Smith; great grandson, Slade Turnage; and nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Jerry, Sheila, and Dion.
Graveside Service with Military Honors for David Johnson will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311.
