It is so sad to hear of David's passing. I treasure memories of so many friendly encounters with David and Marcia at Bagel Bakery over the years. Marcia, you and your family have my deepest heart-felt condolences. May your precious memories bring you some comfort.
I have the warmest memories of David from the years we worked together at the Gainesville Sun. We were both skeptical ex-hippies and shared at lot of laughs. All my love to Marcia and the rest of David's family. May his memory be a blessing.
One of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever known. David was totally non-judgmental, such a rare trait. He will always be remembered. I am so saddened by his passing and I ache for Marcia and her family.

We are members of Gainesville Lions Club where Marcia's dad, Paul Zimmerman was a member and encouraged Marcia to join. David attended some meetings with Marcia and he was dedicated to help the Lions. He and Marcia created our Facebook page and have kept it up to date. A quiet, loving husband, dad and true friend, David will be greatly missed. Marcia, as you keep loving memories in your heart, we are praying for God's love and mercy to see you through this lonely time.

I had the honor of meeting David because of Marcia through the Lions Club. Through out the years I’d wave and say hello at Bagel bakery and most recently the Lions holiday party. He was always sweet and caring towards me and I know he will be missed. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family during this difficult time.
I worked with David at the Gainesville Sun in the 1980s and always found him to be a warm and friendly co-worker. May he rest in peace.
