David Frank Albright's Obituary
David Frank Albright, age 76, of Blairsville GA passed away Monday evening December 12, 2022 in Cedar Key Fla. David was born on July 14, 1946 in New Orleans LA. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Elizabeth Albright, mother Ruth Albright, father Edwin Albright, and brother Steve Albright. He is survived by his brothers Edwin (Helen) and John Albright (Jane), children Wesley Albright (Ronda), Asa Albright (Shannon) and his stepchildren Ashleigh Picq (Florent), Cameron Searle (Kathryn), and Amy McCullough (John). He was a loving grandfather to Kimberly Anderson (Scott), Ethan, Owen, Aiden, and Lily Albright, Stella, William, Annabelle Picq, Emma Grace, Elizabeth Jane, Anna Margaret Searle, Emerson and Amelia McCollough, Salem and Blair Smith, and his great grandchildren Logan, Grayson, and Conner Anderson.
David proudly served in Vietnam from July 1969 - July 1970. He earned the bronze star as the 1st lieutenant in the Medical Service Core in the Army. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Presbyterian College in 1968 and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of GA in 1981. His many hobbies through the years included camping, golfing, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He also loved supporting the Ga Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
His dedication for the church included the establishment and building of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Duluth GA and working as an elder in the church. In more recent years he and Jane Elizabeth were active members of the Central Baptist Church in Newnan.
He loved spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very supportive and loving of his family, extended family, and many friends he made through his many adventures.
A celebration of life is scheduled for February 4th 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Geneva Presbyterian Church in St Johns Florida.
