David Howard Brewer's Obituary
Mr. David Howard Brewer, 74, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Monday, December 31, 2018 in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following a short illness.
Mr. Brewer was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on July 11, 1944 to the late Howard and Ruth Brewer. After graduation, he joined the U. S. Air Force, and served in England, before coming home to Benton Harbor, to begin a long career with All-Phase Electric, where he worked until his retirement in 1999. Following his retirement, he moved to Gainesville, where he enjoyed playing golf, and working at both Ironwood and Turkey Creek Country Clubs. He was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Brewer in 2001.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 ½ years, Susan Brewer; a sister, Yolanda (Jerry) McDonald; a brother, Douglas (Kelly) Brewer; sister in law, Shelley (Tim) Gardner; brother in law, David Day. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and one great grandnephew.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 1:00 P. M., in the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 West Newberry Road, Gainesville, with Rev. Alan Struckmeyer, officiating. His final resting place will be at the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
