Darin Workman's Obituary
Darin Lee Workman, age 50 of Gainesville passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born August 19, 1970 in Pittsfield, Illinois to Virgil Lee and Bette Jane Bigham Workman.
Darin graduated from Gainesville High School class of 1987. He loved the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Braves and the Gators. Darin was a cook for 30 years at the Outback Steakhouse. He was very dedicated to his job and he loved to train new employees. He was proud of his job performance and history but was never a person to brag.
Darin never met a friend he didn’t like. He never ever worried about anything; he just took one day at a time. He was very easy going, always laughing, very social and always considerate to other peoples needs. He was a very happy person in life. Darin was very close to his mother and brother.
Darin was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Workman.
He is survived by his mother, Bette Workman; brother, Todd Workman; half-brothers, Mike and Jeff Workman and half-sister, Connie Jones and numerous aunts uncles cousins and friends
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
