Daniel Brett Mobley's Obituary
In the early hours of February 15, 2025, Daniel Brett Mobley took flight to be with his dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He leaves behind his intended Sarah Nestor, his mother Patty Sanders, a sister Jill Mobley Franklin (Ralph), a brother Scott Mobley (Darla), his niece and nephew Molly Mobley Smith (Michael) and Adam Mobley (Stephanie), his beloved aunt Katie Hines, and adored uncle Kenny Hines. Numerous cousins and a multitude of dear friends that the newspaper wouldn’t have enough room to list.
He was born January 25, 1964 at AGH to Patty and Jac Mobley. He was a true product of old Gainesville. He spent his early days at the Boy’s Club playing football and was a member of the Buchholz High School class of ‘82. He was a part of the numerous football titles that Buchholz accumulated in the early 80’s. After graduating he made the commitment to his country and proudly joined the United States Marine Corps. He was a Devil Dog through and through. He spent his free time helping others and passionately trying to help other veterans. He was dedicated to helping organizations that benefit and protect women and children. He was a dog lover and a fan of John Wayne and Bear Bryant, NASCAR, and watching college and NFL football even though his “damn Raiders are terrible”.
To know Brett was to love him! His friends and family will greatly miss his upbeat personality and willingness to extended an arm to anyone who may need it. He leaves behind a legacy of love for his people and inspiration for generations to come.
Fly high, Marine! Semper Fidelis!
