Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014
She was born on May 20, 1924 in Macclenny Florida to the late Carolyn Green and Thomas L. Thompson. She graduated from Baker County High School. Dana had various careers in her lifetime. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hawthorne.
Dana is survived by Dan, her husband of 62 years; 2 sons and their wives – Leo and Dee Dugger, Gainesville, FL; Jim and Wanda Dugger, Kingston, GA. A daughter and her husband, Kathryn and Randy Nobles; grandchildren: Will and Tracy Dugger, Leslie Dugger, Lindy and Mark Cordell, Logan Dugger, Aaron, Alyssa, Carrie and Kate Nobles. In addition she had 2 2/3 great grandchildren
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., in First Baptist Church in Hawthorne, 22027 SE 65th Avenue, with Pastor Charles Litzell officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery. Viewing will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., in WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME HAWTHORNE, US 301 South at Lake Avenue.
Dana loved her flowers and bright colors; the family asks that you wear cheerfully colored clothing. She also had a giving heart, if you prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Hawthorne building fund, P.O. Box 280, Hawthorne, FL 32640, Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606 or the charity of your choice in her name.
