Dale Frazier Barrett, 81, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025. She was born in Columbus, Georgia, on August 10, 1943, to Dennis Lynwood and Sadie Davis Frazier.
Dale dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a registered nurse at Shands, where she served with compassion and commitment for many years. Outside of her profession, she found joy in watching sports and cherished time spent with her family.
She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dale is survived by her children: Williams Russell "Rusty" Barrett, Ralph Ellis Barrett, Sadie Renee Walkup (Daniel), and Mary Rebecca Barrett. She also leaves behind six grandchildren—Kasey, Kimberly, Matthew, Samuel, Blake, and Grace—and four great-grandchildren: Emmersyn, Ellison, Oaklee, and Owen.
Dale was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph L. Frazier, and two great-grandchildren, Barrett and Tatum.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
