Cynthia Lynn Winburn Dry's Obituary
Cynthia Lynn Winburn Dry of Gainesville, FL died Monday, February 21, 2022, following a brief illness. Cindy was born October 12, 1961, in Gainesville, FL to George and Sandra Walker Winburn. She was a graduate of Gainesville High School and attended Santa Fe College. During that time Cindy was a member of the Gator Band, which brought her tremendous joy. She married the love of her life, Dan Dry. They were married for over 35 years until his death in 2020. Cindy loved her family dearly and especially loved being a second mother to her siblings and niece and nephews.
Many things brought Cindy joy in her life including her beloved family and friends, the Florida Gators, her career as a banker, her many cat friends, and flamingos! Cindy enjoyed her career in banking and was currently employed with Ameris Bank. She was respected and admired by her coworkers and customers who will all miss her presence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Dry and father, George Winburn.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Winburn, sister, Brenda Winburn, brother, Steve (Lori) Winburn, sister-in-law, Mary (Paul) Svercl; many nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Williams-Thomas Westarea 823 NW 143rd St. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in her name to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. .
