Cynthia "Cindi" Rose McGee's Obituary
Cynthia “Cindi” Rose McGee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida.
Cindi was a strong woman of faith and a devoted member of North Central Baptist Church whose faith guided her life. She loved all things Buffalo, especially cheering on her Buffalo Bills, but nothing brought her more delight than time with her family. With joyful hearts, we celebrate the life of a woman whose love was the center of her world. She was a loving wife of 52 years to her Hunny Bunny. Family was her greatest passion, and nothing brought her more happiness than being “Grammy” to her precious grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she cherished every laugh, hug, and special moment spent with them.
She loved her children deeply and carried that same motherly spirit into her church and workplace, the Reebs, who became like her second family. She had a natural gift for caring for others, offering encouragement, warmth, and wisdom wherever she went. Her life was filled with faith, connection, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a family who will forever carry her light in their hearts.
Cynthia was born on December 14, 1952, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Thomas Richard and Joyce Hedges Krespan.
Cindi is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Gene, Children: Alissa Watson (Deagan) Emilie Allinder (Matt) and Thomas McGee (Sharmaine); sisters: Beverly Maitland and Stephanie Bennett; grandchildren: Caelyn, Brysen, William, Benjamin, Emmalyn, and Molly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Joyce.
A funeral service for Cindi will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at North Central Baptist Church 8001 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Florida with Rev. Calvin Carr as officiant.
