Corrine F. Cornaro's Obituary
Corrine F. Cornaro, age 92, died at her home Monday, June 26, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Both her dementia and Parkinson’s combined to leave her bedbound but she always kept a positive attitude. She was born on March 29, 1925 in Ellenboro, West Virginia and graduated from Harrisville High School in 1943. Soon after she moved to Washington D.C. to attend Strayer College and do her part for the war effort. She married in 1947 her husband of 65 years, Al. Her journey continued living in Virginia. Marlboro, MA, Parkersburg, WV and in 1968 moved to Gainesville, FL.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Leota Finley, two siblings, Idelene Finley Hinkle and Lyle Finley, her husband, Al Cornaro and son, Stephen Cornaro.
She is survived by her son, Adrian Cornaro of Gainesville, FL; granddaughters, Mishka Cole of Montgomery, AL and Heather Mohd Cornaro of Birmingham, AL several great grandchildren, nieces, Leellen Moore of Beverly, OH and Carla Murphy of Las Vegas, NV, Nephew, Mike Hinkle of Ellenboro, WV, brothers-in-law, Marco Cornaro of Westboro, MA and Alfred Cornaro of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law Alice Cornaro of Dorchester, MA.
She will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband in Forest Meadows cemetery. There will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, 150 North Main Street, High Springs, FL 32643.
