Jim was a gentleman. He would willingly chauffeur Del's friends around, play the quiet host to Del's ample cooking and gracious entertaining skills (she was the quintessential military wife) and generously share his Nestlé original ice cream drumsticks. I appreciated his sense of humor too. Often he would chuckle over something that he remembered and no one else had a clue about his private comedy club. Now he can hold an audience with soldiers and airmen of his peers and stand straight and tall among them and they will say, "Well done. Go now in peace."
