Claude Ellison Jr.'s Obituary
Claude Ellison Jr., age 85, died Tuesday, December 8th at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, after a battle with kidney disease.
Claude is survived by a wife, Clara Ellison, two children, Thomas Ellison and Denise Baez, and two sisters, Myrtle Brown and Patricia Layfield. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren - Tyler, Marina, Kendall, Cassidi, and Kayli.
Mr. Ellison was born in Montezuma, Georgia, the son of the late Annie Violia and John Claude Ellison. As a child, he grew up on a farm and then served in the Army during the Korean War. After the war, he became a CPA, cofounded Richardson & Ellison CPA firm, and retired at the age of 55 to enjoy every moment of his life.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 A. M., in the Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville.
