Christopher Lee Thomashunis' Obituary
Christopher Lee Thomashunis, age 30 and recently of Alachua, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. Chris was born December 15, 1985 in Concord, Massachusetts to Zigmund and Ruth Mulford Thomashunis. He grew up in Citrus County, Florida and was state champion soccer goalie at Lecanto High School in 2004. Chris enjoyed golf and University of Florida sports. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, having served in Iraq as a military police specialist E4. Chris was store manager of Tractor Supply in North Gainesville.
Chris is survived by his fianceé, Annie Adams; mother, Ruth Thomashunis; children, Chandler and Camden and siblings, Ruth-Ann Spinosa (Chris), Mike Thomashunis, Bruce (Rebekah) Thomashunis, Matt (Pam) Thomashunis and Cassie Lolley (Jay).
A Celebration of Christopher’s life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite Gator attire. Chris will be laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thomashunis Children, please make checks payable to Bank of America, 2815 NW 13th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
