Christopher (Chris) Lee Layman's Obituary
Christopher (Chris) Lee Layman, 38, of Alachua, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2023. Chris was born in Gainesville, FL on June 14, 1984.
He lived in Alachua and participated in several local youth leagues for basketball and baseball where he developed lifelong friendships. After High school he attended Santa Fe College where he graduated from their automotive program. Chris is the owner/operator of Water-Tech Seamless Gutters. He was passionate about cars, racing, boats and fishing. He was a fun loving man who deeply loved his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his parents, Robert Layman and Diana Layman-Crowe; two sisters, Michelle Goodkind (Jeffrey) of Louisville, KY and Bobbie Jo Stansell (Mark) of Barnesville, GA; two brothers, Michael Hardin (Katrina) of Louisvile, KY and Steven Layman (Laura) of Auburndale, FL; he has 4 nieces and 2 nephews, Jackie Mccanless, Madison Hardin, Madison Layman, Gracie Hardin, Travis Stansell and Mason Hardin. He was also survived by his loving and loyal dog, Buddy. He was greatly loved by all.
A Celebration of Life service will be held April 16, 2023, 11 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW. 143rd St, Newberry, FL.
