Chris Knight's Obituary
Chris Knight, age 66 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Shands at the University of Florida. He was born December 25, 1951 in Gainesville to Willie Eugene and Sadie Howell Knight. He was a member of Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church, and he loved his church family. He was always helping people with lawn maintenance, and always helped his church family.
Chris was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifton Knight, Alvin Knight, and Jimmy Knight, and sister, Rosemary Masters. He is survived by his sisters, Linda (John) Gano, Almajean (Colon) Shaw; brothers, Donald (Betty) Knight , Billy (Elaine) Knight, Larry (Suzy) Knight; special friend, Annette Burkett; beloved dog, SnowBall, and all his church family at Dayspring.
A Celebration of Chris’s Life will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. Marie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
