Cheryl Boger's Obituary
Cheryl Boger passed at the age of 77 years old, on June 25. She was born in Dayton, OH, moved to Waterford, MI in 1979 and then to Gainesville, FL in 2003.
She had retired from UF Health in which she held several different positions. She also had a long career as a telephone operator. She was an active member of Canvas Church and very strong in her faith. Her passions and hobbies were reading, crocheting, needle point, working puzzles, playing games and cards, watching movies, going out on the boat, but most of all spending time with her family.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Paul Boger, Jr, her 3 children, Vickie Connell (Rich), Bob Boger (Annette) and Tim Boger (Teresa). Her 11 grandchildren, Carrie Connell-Serrins (David), Brooke Lewinski (Jake), Abby Boger, Conner Connell (Megan), Ethan Boger, Hailey Boger, Brenden Meredith, Christian Meredith, Ricky Connell (Jessica), Justin Connell (Crystal) and Matthew Connell (Brittany). Her 8 great-grandchildren, Madison Connell, Charlotte Connell, Aelin Serins, Eric Connell, Jasmin Hoyer, Miranda Stokes, Zachary Stokes and Christian Stokes. Plus multiple honorary children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Ed" and Ruth (Harmon) DeRamus, a child, Mary Jo Boger and several Aunts and Uncles.
The family is having a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, July 19, at Canvas Church, 15551 NW US Hwy 441 Alachua, FL 32615. They will receive guests starting at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Canvas Church at Canvasgive.com/Offering/add message "in honor of Cheryl Boger".
