Mrs. Charlotte Cain Dixon's Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte Cain Dixon, 71, of Newberry, Florida, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, following a long illness.
Mrs. Dixon was born in Lake City, Florida on September 26, 1950, to J. C. and Velma Cain. She lived her early years in Bell, before moving to Gainesville, and graduating from Gainesville High School, Class of 1968. Mrs. Dixon spent 18 years working in the banking industry and started out with Florida National Bank. She then worked 36 years in the title insurance industry and started out with Alachua County Abstract.
She loved baking and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Dixon, of Newberry; a son, Nicholas (Allison) Iuculano, of Gainesville; stepdaughters, Amy (Tim) Kilpatrick, of Folkston, GA and Jamie Lynn Osmont of Trenton; three sisters, Doreen Bates of Branford, Doris Martin, of Bell, and Laverne Hunt, of Ocala. five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd St., Newberry, with Pastor Andy Cook, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 A. M. Interment will follow in Memorial Park West; after which, the family will host a reception at the funeral home.
