Charlotte L. Conn's Obituary
Charlotte L. Conn, age 91 of Gainesville, FL passed away Monday, August 6, 2018. She was born September 17, 1926 in Hammond, IN to Robert E. and Ava Rose Davis Wilson.
She was a loving mother, wife and friend. She cherished her friendships with care and understanding. She was an extraordinary cook and baker, happiest when she created a “big mess” in her kitchen, she loved her kitchen and it, in turn “loved her”.
She was a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church. She was co-owner of Dixie Cream Donut Shop, bookkeeper of Imperial Furnishings and University Nursing Care Center. She retired in 1989.
Charlotte will be deeply missed but will forever be celebrated!
She is survived by her children, Michael O. Hedges and his wife Paula, Deborah Sue Culver and her husband Tom and Joseph W. Conn and his wife Noreen; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Conn and siblings, Gladys Willison, Beverly Kelly and Bob Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Rd. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
