Charlotte Patricia Brunson, Dec 30, 1922-Dec 9, 2013
Charlotte was born in Lacrosse, Florida and grew up there as an only child on a farm. She married Raymond Malone Brunson in 1940. They lived in Gainesville 27 years prior to moving to Vienna, West Virginia in 1967. She returned to Gainesville in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years and two of her children, Margaret Harris and Ralph Brunson. She is survived by her children Glenda (Robert) Moulden, Jimmie (Barbara) Brunson, Betty (Marvin) Highfill, Ted (Sandi) Brunson, Margaret’s husband (Henry), Ralph’s wife (Caroline) and half-brother Bill Greenwell. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren and she loved being with all of them.
She was involved with the homemakers club in West Virginia and served as an election poll volunteer. She was passionate about the flowers in her garden and her puppy dogs. She was energized by her quest to accumulate the world’s finest collectibles.
Her husband had nine brothers and sisters. She loved her extended family and was the penultimate social being. She knew no strangers. One of her greatest joys was being with people and she loved her friends at the Campus Church. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Campus Church of Christ, 2720 SW 2nd Avenue, Gainesville FL. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Christian Family Services, 2720 SW 2nd Avenue, Gainesville FL 32607.
