Charles Richard "Chuck" Towns' Obituary
Charles Richard “Chuck” Towns, 43, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Sunday, September 28, 2014.
Chuck was born on January 26, 1971 in Gainesville, Florida. As a child, he had attended the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and was a part of the Pathfinders Club. He graduated from Eastside High School, Class of 1989. Chuck began his career as an estimator for commercial fire and security systems, working in north and central Florida for many years, prior to moving to Virginia in 2010. He was a fun loving person who loved singing karaoke. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Towns, in 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Patsy Towns, of Gainesville;one son, Henry Towns, of Tampa; three brothers, Milton (Theresa) Towns, of High Springs, Preston (Monica) Towns, of Gainesville, and Eric (Elizabeth) Towns, of Cary, NC; his fiancé, Elissa Eldridge, of Chesapeake, VA; nephew, Nicholas Towns, of High Springs, and a niece, Brooke Towns, of Gainesville.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 3, 2014 at 3:00 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, with Pastor Mark Swaisgood, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park East. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P. M. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
