I met Dr Staples when he first came to the Univ of FL. I was working for Dr Beede then. When Dr Beede left for the Univ of M , I became Dr Staples lab person. That was when i really got to know Dr Staples. He was a quiet gentle man who did his best to make me feel part of his team. He was a good man. I will miss him very much. But I know where he is. And that makes it easier knowing that I will see him again someday. Estelle Hirchert
So sorry for your loss. As an UF Grad Student, I first met Dr. Staples in the department, but only really got to know him better once I was working in industry as a researcher. I recall having a great conversation with him when randomly our paths crossed in an airport terminal.
