Charles “Chuck” K. Skelly, 80, of Gainesville, Fl passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Chuck was born May 12, 1945, in Elwood, Indiana to Charles and Doris Jean Bowers Skelly. Upon graduation from high school, he proudly served America in the United States Army in Germany. Most of his career he worked in the moving, trucking, and transportation industry. He loved mechanical design and arts and antique automobile and gasoline memorabilia. Chuck was a member of the Gainesville Street Rods beginning back in the 1980’s and of the American Legion in Gainesville, Fl
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of over 47 years, Diane, his children, three brothers and one sister, and numerous extended family members and lifelong friends.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL
