CHARLES RICHARD JOLLY's Obituary
Richard Jolly, known as Dick and Rich, died peacefully on June 20, 2023, in New Port Richey, FL, at the age of 82. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 5, 1941, to Marvin Richard Jolly and Irene Popp Jolly. After serving his country with honor in the Navy, he made his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, to be close to his parents and sister, and start his family.
Following in the family tradition, he pursued a career in the tool and dye industry and was successful in inventing several items during that time. He was also a finished carpenter and created pieces for homes in the area and in Texas. In retirement years, he and his wife Annie enjoyed buying storage units and managed a store to sell the various items. He loved cars, motorcycles, boats, and enjoyed these activities with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Remick; his sons Richard Jolly of New Port Richey and Richey Jolly of St. Petersburg; grandchildren Raymond Jolly, Thomas Jolly, Charles Jolly, Katie Jolly, great grandchildren Kayden and Nikolai Valera; sister Lynn Jolly Read, nephew Rick Williams, Kelly, Blake, Hannah, of Gainesville, FL.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife Annie DeVota Jolly.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, with military honors.
